Map of the Target

Hi everyone, as Nate and I adventure across Southeast Asia we’ll be posting thoughts, photos, videos and whatever else we come across on this blog. Should be at least mildly interesting.

First stop Hanoi, Vietnam. Nate and I are leaving from New Orleans tonight at 6:15pm. We have 27 hours of travel ahead of us. New Orleans -> L.A. -> Taiwan -> Hanoi, Vietnam. We have three days booked at a hostel when we get there and they’re picking us up from the airport. I’ve heard that Hanoi is one of the most insane (and scary) cities in the world. Cars, rickshaws, motorbikes, etc. all over the place and loads of petty crime especially focused on westerns. BUT I’ve also heard that Vietnamese as a people are very kind and welcoming. So there are my preconceived notions about our first stop. We’ll see how it goes. Wish us luck for 27 hours of airports and planes. Cheers, Becca

How exciting! 27 hours, that’s nothing! You and Nate have had bike rides longer than that… :)

(I love you both. Keep your New Yorker heads and your southern hearts, and you have nothing to worry about.)
